The Tea Sippers revisit The Outside

November was a whirlwind of excitement at Theatre 810! We want to thank everyone who helped support us by coming to see shows or our fundraising Gala, A Black Box Affair!

Today, our friends The Tea Sippers loaded into the space to prepare for this weekend's production of The Outside.

THE OUTSIDE is a one-act play written by Andrew Lee Vincent, Artistic Director of The Tea Sippers' Theatre Company, and originally premiered at Cite des Arts in July of 2011.

Set in a local park, the play follows several interesting characters as they go about their days. Dealing with adultery, abandonment, homelessness, love, and loss, this cast of characters will witness, experience, and learn about life.

The Outside runs Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30pm and Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm. Tickets are $10 and can be reserved by calling us at (337)484-0172

UL-Lafayette's Production of "Slipping" opens this week at Theatre 810!

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Performing Arts Department moved into Theatre 810 on Sunday afternoon, and they've got a special show in store for all of us:

"Slipping" centers on Eli, a young man struggling to deal with major changes in his life: the death of his father, a move from San Francisco to Iowa, and coming to terms with his mother, his past loves, and an uncertain new relationship at school. In the face of all this change, Eli must decide to open himself up to closeness and the risks of that choice, or to shut himself away from love for good.

"Slipping" contains adult language and situations and is recommended for ages 15 and up.

The show runs one weekend only: November 13-15 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10. For reservations, call 337-484-0172.
